We are managed and catered by The Barrett Family and we enjoy an exceptional reputation in the area for outstanding food and service. The Barrett Restaurant Group also owns The Abington Ale House, The Charlie Horse of West Bridgewater, The Charlie Horse of Kingston and Plymouth Bay Catering. 

  1. > General Information

    Menus: We will be glad to customize a menu from our extensive list of entrees. 

    Facility: Room Charge $2000.00.  Sunday through Thursday minimum seating is 85 guests maximum 300. Friday and Saturday minimum seating is 125 guests maximum 300. Please note that this facility is non-smoking. 

    Reservations: A $2500.00 non-refundable deposit is required to reserve the facility for the date and time of your reception. A second $2500.00 non-refundable deposit is due four (4) months after signing. A third $2500.00 non-refundable deposit is due seven (7) months after signing. All deposits will be deducted from the final bill, which is due three (3) days prior to the event.

    All food and beverage is subject to a 5% incidental fee, 7% state and local tax and 18% gratuity.

    Are you planning a Saturday Day Wedding?

    If you book your wedding on a Saturday afternoon from 12:00pm to 5:00pm:

    Q: How many people does your room hold?
    A: The Tirrell room can hold up to three hundred (300) people for a seated dinner, up to four hundred fifty (450) for a cocktail party.


    Q: Do you require a minimum amount of guests for a function?
    A: Yes, Friday and Saturday evenings 125 is the minimum. Sunday through Thursday the minimum is 85.


    Q: Do you have Wedding packages?
    A: Yes, we have an extensive package plan to accommodate all brides.


    Q: What does the Wedding Package include?

    A: The package includes:

    ·          Flowers: Bridal bouquets (3) – Bride, Maid of Honor, Bridesmaid

    ·          Boutonnieres (5) – Groom, Fathers, Best Man, Usher

    ·          Corsages (2) – Mothers

    ·          Centerpieces for the tables (additional bouquets, etc. can be purchased through The Tirrell Room)

    ·          Eight-passenger white limousine (upgrade available)

    ·          Cake (many styles and flavors available)

    ·          DJ (we have more than ten to choose from)

    ·          Invitations

    ·          Photo Room

    ·          Personalized Napkins


    Q: Can I use part of the Wedding Package?
    A: Yes, you can choose to use any part of our package.


    Q: If I choose to do a package plan but would prefer my own DJ will you credit me?

    A: Yes, any part of the package plan you choose not to utilize will be credited.


    Q: Can you recommend any DJ’s?

    A: Yes, we have more than ten outstanding DJ’s.


    Q: Do you have an in-house caterer?

    A: Yes, all catering is done by Barrett Catering.


    Q: Do we have to use Barrett Catering?

    A: Yes, we do not allow outside caterers.


    Q: Is the food cooked here or brought in?

    A: All our food is prepared and cooked fresh on premises.


    Q: If I want something other than what's on the menus you offer, can you prepare it and can I try it?

    A: Yes, we encourage you to attend one of our food tastings.


    Q: Can you prepare vegetarian meals and or kid's meals?

    A: Yes, we can accommodate all of your needs.


    Q: Can I have an open bar?

    A: Yes, we offer several options for an open bar. You may select a cocktail hour only, a dollar amount or specified hours. You may also have bottles of wine on individual tables.


    Q: Is the champagne toast included?

    A: No, but we can arrange for a champagne toast.


    Q: Can you recommend a local hotel for out-of-town guests?

    A: Yes, there are several in our immediate area.


    Q: If we choose to hold our ceremony here can you recommend someone to officiate for our Vows?

    A: Yes, we can recommend many qualified Ministers and Justices of the Peace.


    Q: Can you recommend any DJ’s?

    A: Yes, we have over ten outstanding DJ’s.


    Q: Do I have to have a police detail?

    A: Yes, according to The City of Quincy (ordinance C13/section 10) it is required that a police detail be present for any gathering that has entertainment and or music. We will arrange for the detail and the charge will be added to your final bill.


    Q: Is there smoking in THE TIRRELL ROOM?

    A: No, but there are several outdoor areas where smoking is allowed.


    Q: If I cancel my function can I get a refund on my deposit?

    A: No, our policy states deposits are non-refundable.
